Daydream Extremer is my life story so far. It draws on material from my blog ‘distracted by your glasses’. Various key events in my life are recalled through the lens of ADHD. The triumphs and the tragedies. Travelling the world as a performer. An inspiring life of adventures, laughs and making it up as I go along. Missed flights and missed opportunities. Broken relationships and broken finances. Debt, bankruptcy and almost homelessness. The daily struggle just to get stuff done. The amazing creativity of the ADHD brain, with it’s immense energy and passion. The mental motor that drives us to risk, learn, and live life as an adventure. The piece concludes with my life now after the discovery and the amazing ADHD community around me. I hope to inspire others on their own journey towards acceptance of ADHD. To inform and to challenge all of us (ADHD, or not) to overcome our pre conceptions surrounding the condition.
